The past few days.

We have been at Ninawachi now for almost 24 hours. The site here has many different types of fruit trees within the campus. Some of these include Coffee, Orange, Lemon, Cocoa, Plantain, and Apple. One of the leaders named Fabricio helped find a ripe cocoa fruit, which is sweet to suck on but too bitter to eat. To make money they try to sell the cocoa beans. Fabricio also let us try eating some Lima fruit which is a combination of an orange and lemon.This afternoon we will be going out into the community to do VBS. We appreciate your continued prayers.

Thank you all for your prayers. We arrived safely and uneventful in Quito last night and had no problems getting all of our luggage. One of the summer missionaries named Jordan from Inca Link was tracking the arrival of our flight, so she met us at the airport to help us get situated. The team has already introduced themselves and have anxiously awaiting for us. They have already invited us out to play soccer. We should get more details from the team later on about where we will be serving. We are all excited about how God is going to use us and work through us. Thank you for your continued prayer.

We have also seen how our group has grown closer together over the past few days. We've been praying together, sharing our stories, and supporting each other. We are so grateful for this community of believers back home supporting and praying for us. As we prepare to head to Ecuador, we are excited to meet the kids and share the love of Christ with them. We are confident that God has a great plan for our time in Ecuador. We are trusting Him to lead us and guide us.

Everyone is currently doing an extended quiet time focusing on 1 Kings 19 when the Lord spoke to Elijah through a gentle whisper. “What does the Lord want to teach us as a group and as individuals?” We also know that our time on the ground will be shorter, so we are ready to make every moment count. And we have faith that our impact in these “shorter” moments will be more powerful because God is continuing to fill us and empower us.

The team is currently in a hotel a couple miles from Miami airport. Our flight to Quito has been rescheduled for Wednesday evening. Some of our luggage is there already, some is back with the team, and a few pieces are at the airport staged for our new flight. It’s been a blessing have some extra time to prepare for our time onsite. We have several times of prayer and Bible study. Everyone is in great spirits and we are excited to get to our final destination. God is certainly in control and we all feel His presence! Thanks for all your continued prayers.
