This week, Pastor Tom explores compassion as a defining value of the Christian life and of Cary Alliance Church. Looking to Jesus’ example, he challenges us to see people—not simply their needs—and to respond with firsthand, whole-person compassion. From the Good Samaritan to Jesus’ ministry among the hurting, compassion moves beyond sympathy to action. We are called to extend that compassion to those who don’t know Christ, those who are hurting, and one another. How might compassion shape the way we worship, disciple, fellowship, reach out, and live as followers of Jesus?
