What to Pray

What to Pray

Earnest prayer is critical to the success of the Gospel. Pray that the Gospel will spread rapidly and be honored. Ask for God-arranged encounters and clarity of speech. Pray to overcome spiritual paralysis caused by fear. The apostle Paul prayed for each of these things in his letters the churches, and the evidence that God answered Paul’s prayers is found in the book of Acts.

Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you, 2 Thessalonians 3:1 (ESV)

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2 (ESV)

praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak. Ephesians 6:18-20 (ESV)
