In Genesis 15, God reassures Abraham that He will be faithful to His covenant. The faithfulness of God is part of the perfection of God's character. He is totally dependable and trustworthy. When we do not understand God's timing or our confidence in His faithfulness is weak, it is helpful to remember that God can never act in a way that is inconsistent with His character.dd
