Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. –Philippians 4:4-7
Christmas celebrations in Indonesia are a month-long event with services and celebrations taking almost all days of the month. Pastors and laypeople are invited to attend celebrations. In the midst of the very busy season, pray that the church would have opportunities to share the true wonder of this season. Pray for international workers, as there is increased opportunity to minister during this upcoming month.
Pray for international worker families on the field as we welcome Spanish friends, immigrants, and strangers into our homes this Christmas. We rejoice at the opportunity to share how our Savior became vulnerable and humble to identify with us and give His life as a ransom for many. Pray for outreaches in local churches too. For some, it will be their first time in an evangelical worship service. The children at LIFE International School shared the gospel in story and song last week with many non-Christian family members.
This I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. —Lamentations 3:21–23, ESV
