be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Ephesians 5:18b-20 (ESV)
Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!”
Psalm 115:1 (ESV)
We believe the purpose of worship music is to glorify God and lead one another to become aware of the Lord’s presence as we sing together, worshiping in spirit and in truth. As we worship, we engage the affections of our heart and lift them up to the Lord as we think on the truth that only comes from God’s Word. We present an offering to the Lord every Sunday through the use of voices, instruments, and technology and we have many opportunities and outlets in which to serve the Lord. Do you play an instrument or sing? Are you skilled with A/V technology? We would love for you to serve! WORSHIP TEAM
We have a full band consisting of guitar (acoustic and electric), bass, drums, keys, and piano with a team of vocalists that lead the congregation every Sunday and for special events. Our style is modern and contemporary while incorporating different styles. We sing a wide variety of music that is engaging and congregational in nature. We focus on lyrics that glorify God with sound theology and that are engaging for the veteran and baby Christian alike. You will hear songs from Passion, Hillsong, Sovereign Grace Music, the Gettys, Bethel, Vertical Worship, and more. You will also hear the historic hymns of the past as well as songs written for our congregation from within. We rehearse every Thursday night at 7 (vocalists at 6:30) as well as meet at 8:15 Sunday morning. An audition and personal testimony is required. If you are interested in singing or playing on the worship team, fill out an interest form here. Take a look at our Worship Ministry Policy Form here.
CHOIR
The choir sings for special events including our Easter service and Christmas program and is for high school aged and older. We sing contemporary arrangements as well as classic material. When we rehearse, we meet at 7 on Wednesday nights. No audition is required.
JOYFUL SINGERS
This is our children’s choir which meets on Wednesday nights at 7 during the school year. The Joyful Singers minister in the Sunday morning worship services every so often. Emphasis is placed on knowing and loving God by learning to sing through God honoring songs.
