Our first concern is the safety of your child. When you hand your child to a Children’s Ministry volunteer for the first time you wonder: Can I trust this person? Do they know what they are doing? Will my baby be safe?
Our goal is to set your mind at ease immediately. Here are a few of the policies we have implemented to protect your child:
- All volunteers are trusted Christians who complete volunteer applications and submit to a background check.
- The Nursery in particular is a limited-access area protected by a doorkeeper whenever children are inside.
- All parents wear pagers for their children in the Nursery, which allows us to contact you if your child cannot be consoled, has a special need, or has an emergency. Additionally, parents of children who are not in the Nursery may ask for a pager should they so desire.
- Cary Alliance Church has a broader security policy that involves roaming security officers and other unobtrusive monitoring of classrooms, hallways, and the parking lot.
