The purpose of Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is to support the needs of every mom (stay-at-home or working, single or married) and share in the journey of motherhood through authentic relationships. MOPS is about celebrating motherhood, meeting needs, making connections and experiencing God’s love. MOPS provides encouragement and fun, small group discussions, creative activities and nurturing childcare, all from a biblical perspective.
While the moms enjoy an refreshing time together, our MOPPETS program provides care for children 4 months and up (we ask that any child younger than 4 months stay with the mother) through Kindergarten. We also offer a homeschool/trackout room if you have older children at home.
MOPS International Mission Statement
MOPS International encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus, and in partnership with the local church.
What can I expect when I come to MOPS?
You can expect to find a welcoming, encouraging, and supportive group of women together in the journey of motherhood. We gather in small group tables each with a Mentor Mom whose role is to offer support and advice. We start each meeting with a buffet breakfast and fellowship. Following breakfast, we hear a speaker and/or do an activity or craft. Speakers present topics to help us strengthen our families, marriages, friendships, the world around us and ultimately our relationship with God. We hear topics ranging from friendships to technology, marriage to praying for your children, depression to finances, to local ministries and much more.
Meeting Dates & Times
We meet at Cary Alliance Church on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 9:30 to 11:30am (September through May). We follow the WCPSS traditional calendar.
How to join our MOPS group:
Fees, collected on a semester basis, are as follows:
- Moms not requiring childcare (Fall – $25, Spring $25)
- Moms requiring childcare (Fall – $30, Spring – $30)
In addition to the fall registration fee, there is a one-time fee of $32 per year required by MOPS International for membership. This fee is non-refundable. If you participate in the Fall Semester, you will not need to pay this fee again for the Spring Semester.
