Women’s Ministries

Our purpose in women’s ministry is to encourage every woman in our church to be an imitator of Christ. We desire to walk in love as Christ did, to be a fragrant offering and sacrifice as we serve together in our church, our community and our world. Ephesians 5:1

  1. Women’s Studies – Bible studies are scheduled regularly for women throughout the year. Typically, studies are available on Monday mornings with childcare provided. There are also evening and summer studies. We use various sources, including books by authors Beth Moore, Joanna Weaver, and Phyllis Shirer. There are also women’s small groups that meet in homes and provide closer personal connections with other women.

  2. Women’s Missionary Connection – We are women who are committed to promoting a better understanding of worldwide missions and to supporting our own missionaries. In addition to praying for them, we encourage them with cards and gifts. We also feature special missions speakers at our monthly meetings. Our missions closet is stocked with donated items that are made available to visiting missionaries. Regular service projects include a stamp ministry, collecting Campbell soups labels, and meeting needs in our community. Would you like to make a difference in the lives of our missionaries? Are you interested in ministering to those in our community as well? Watch for announcements of our monthly meetings, advertised in the church bulletin and via the church email.

  3. Precepts – PRECEPTS are Bible studies that fully utilize inductive study skills of observation, interpretation, and application for the best independent discovery of God’s Word. These classes are open to women and men on Monday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 and Monday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00. The 2011/12 fall/winter studies will be Genesis Parts 1&2 (6 lessons and & 10 lessons respectively). Part 1 covers chapters 102 The Creation and Part 2 covers chapters 3-11 The Fall, the Flood and the Nations. The classes have trained Precept leaders for class discussion plus a video lecture.
